About Us
Peeling paint, chalky siding, and water stains aren’t just ugly because they invite rot and higher repair costs. As your interior house painter, exterior house painter, and roof painter in Dunedin, Dunedin House Painters fixes the cause, preps the right way, and applies durable coatings in the right season so exteriors go in dry, mild weather and interiors happen year round.
Our crew has years of hands-on work across Dunedin on stucco, timber, brick, and metal, and we follow a prep-first method that makes the paint last. We are licensed and insured, lead safe for pre 1978 homes, and we keep a tidy site with daily checks on moisture, adhesion, and coverage.
You get clear pricing, daily updates, tidy work areas, and a start and finish that stay on schedule. We use proven coatings with the right sheen and primers for each room or surface, and we offer colour help and test patches so you feel sure before we roll.
Interior work covers drywall repair, sanding, caulking, priming, and two smooth coats on walls, ceilings, trim, and cabinets with low odour paints so rooms look sharp and you get back to normal fast, while exterior work includes pressure washing, scraping, sanding, spot prime, full caulk, and the right application method with brush, roll, or spray and back roll so the paint film builds right and seals out weather. As your roof painter we clean and treat rust on metal, coat tile or shingles where it makes sense, test adhesion, and use safety harnesses, and we guide you on timing such as repainting exteriors every five to ten years and busy interiors every three to five years or sooner if you see peeling, hairline cracks, water stains, or chalky colour, because skipping prep or painting in the wrong weather leads to early peeling, blistering, mildew, and costly wood or drywall repair.
